True Stories
Bob is an 80-year-old gentleman who lives alone. He has multiple health problems and in recent years has frequently been rushed to the emergency room. A St. Andrew's care manager identified Bob's need for extra help in the home and now makes sure he eats properly and takes his medication. Since these home services started, Bob has not needed to go to the emergency room again.
Mr. R. and Ms. M. both receive supportive care services from St. Andrew's At-Home Services. Because of their limited incomes, these two clients sometimes do not have enough medications to last until the end of the month. With St. Andrew's help, they can purchase enough medications to get them through each month. Ralph is 100 years old and used to be afraid to live in his own apartment. With the help of his local church and St. Andrew's, Ralph qualified for subsidized housing and now he is an active and happy senior living in one of St. Andrew's communities. He is always volunteering his skills and talents to help others in the housing complex. As Ralph says, " For the first time in my life, I feel safe." "For the first time in my life, I feel safe." |
